Did you know...
The Little Ski Hill, founded in 1937, is home for the youth of McCall and operates an after school kids program for beginners and ski racers as well as night skiing and groomed Nordic trails. The “mind set” has been that all kids or adults living here in what was formerly dubbed “ Ski Town USA” should have the opportunity to ski at an affordable price. This means that the operation of the hill has been mainly through donations and fund raisers.

The sale of the print above signed by 6 of our Olympians was made available November ‘06 and has, as of December '06, realized approximately $80,000 that will go toward the operation and maintenance of this town “gem.” Hopefully the posters will continue to sell and that the Little Hill will stay available for anyone to learn to enjoy our winters on either downhill or cross country skis.

McCall, Idaho
McCall, Idaho is a year-round destination resort community situated on the shores of Payette Lake between picturesque snow-capped mountains. Known for its recreational opportunities and beauty many Idaho residents consider McCall to be the “Playground of the West.”
McCall is merely a two-hour drive north of Boise, Idaho and the drive up hwy 55 along the Payette River is a delight in itself. McCall began as a small timber mining town but is now home to Brundage Mountain and Tamarack Resort, the Activity Barn snow tubing park, Ponderosa State Park, and the U. S. Forest Service Smokejumper Base. McCall holds an annual Winter Carnival, begun in 1924, every year with outstanding snow sculptures and amusing activities of all kinds. The Ski Town U.S.A. celebrity evolved because McCall is and has been the home of a number of Olympic skiers. In winter, the ski resorts and seemingly endless snowmobiling trails are McCall’s main draw. The Payette National Forest, a U.S. National Forest, located entirely in Idaho, consists of approximately 2.3 million acres (9,300 km²) of federally managed lands make for fantastic hiking, fishing, camping and wildlife viewing.
